I really don't know much about the photographs and am still trying to find more clues. I do not know if they were taken from an SSTV monitor, but they do look like they were taken from a feed of the cameras. They don't look like they were taken from the images of a TV set. I came about them from an auction of an estate. The person had a collection of items from 1969. A lot of clippings of magazine articles, NASA brochures and communication, and some magazines. None of the communication I've looked through hinted at how the pictures were taken. I haven't found a clue from the number on the back of each photo, "JB52150". I only know for sure what the markings say on each one and that they are Polaroids.

The three images of the lunar surface look poorer quality than the ones on the 24th, but I don't know if that is due to the quality of the image coming from off planet. I wish the images were bigger. The writing on the back is the same style an engineer or architect would use with all capitalized lettering. For instance, JULY with J being bigger than the ULY, but still all capitalized.

I actually came across this site because it was the only one I found that mentioned polaroids of apollo 11 mission.
So where would I send the photos? They are very nice polaroid.
Hi Thomas. Do you know anything about the history of these photos? How did you acquire them?

The ones from July 24 are not of interest to me. These are just photos of the portions of the mission that are not the subject of the apollo lunar surface camera.

The three you have from the 20th, do you know if these were taken from an SSTV monitor?

Nevermind. I found out that they're actually from a camera on the Apollo 11 mission. I thought it was polaroid, but it's kodak film 70mm.
I have 4 or 5 Apollo 11 polaroid pictures that look as if they could have been taken on the moon they're so clear and crisp. My mom says that her father in law had a friend that worked at NASA that gave them to him. They're date stamped on the back 1969. One of them is the famous boot print. I've been wondering what they were.
Are these photographs of the television transmission? If so, they will be black and white and have visible scan lines as shown in the photo above.
That kind of money and you'd have thousands of people scouring every inch of the Applied Physics Laboratory and every storage locker in the US, Guam, Australia, Spain or anywhere that had even the most remote chances of having a copy.

If they were not found after a year of offering ten million, you could be assured they were no longer in existance
That might cause more problems than it solves. Imagine if it were found and torn apart by a mob trying to get the tape to cash in! I read the report on it and while I think there is the possibility that the secondary recordings may exist, it's pretty remote.

Well, good luck with that. I really think it's a long shot that a $250 reward would get anyone to find anything.

I realize you can't do this, but I think if you want a real shot at getting something like the tapes you mentioned above that might be at the Applied Physics Laboratory would be to offer an outrageously high reward for them. IF they exist, they WILL be found if someone offered something like ten million dollars for them. That kind of money and you'd have thousands of people scouring every inch of the Applied Physics Laboratory and every storage locker in the US, Guam, Australia, Spain or anywhere that had even the most remote chances of having a copy.
