Nicola Tesla: If he had not gone kinda nutty in his later years he might only be remembered as the inventor of the induction motor, the three-phase electrical distribution system, the resonant transformer and arguably radio. But today he is far more than that. He’s also a persona who gets attached to all kinds of ridiculous claims.
If you happen to have “energy field” problems (or if you’re just very gullible) you can buy the “Tesla Purple Energy Shield” from Life Technologies for only $199.95. But what does the device do? Well, the “Energy Shield” which is pictured to the left is apparently a cure-all device for “energy” problems. It’s shown up on a bunch of websites for the purpose of protection from cell phones and all kinds of other harmless devices.

Come on guys. If you’re going to go with this kind of scam, can you at least try a little harder? I mean, use a different picture or something. It’s just too obvious, even for this kind of thing…

I wonder if they at least put something in it or just give the empty pill bottle. It seems like it would be disappointing to open it and find it empty. I guess maybe they could glue it shut to give it less of the impression of an empty vessel, but it’d still feel hallow.

Yea I have seen something similar sold at my local drug store. It is sold as a container to put pills in that you might need to take on the go. It’s like four bucks or something.

I have one of these on my keychain (not the energy shield) but it does not have the taper on the end. It also is chrome and not purple. Otherwise it’s the same deal.
I occasionally get an intense headache out of the blue so I carry a few pills in it in case one should hit.

For 200 bucks I’d put some pretty crystals inside and maybe a couple of pins in different metals (costing say $15). However I have no insight into the mindset required for this kind of scam.
Perversely, if you believe in this enough, it probably does have some benefit by tapping into placebo effect.

If anyone opens and phones that they are not happy because the energy shield was empty just say “Oh you are not supposed to do that! You let out all the energy. Now you have to buy a new one.”

I have seen things which are basically the same as this, but I don’t know that they are identical as I never paid much attention.
It’s just a little bottle for keeping something-or-other on your keys or clipped to your belt or purse or something. Pills seem like it’s the natural thing. Maybe dry matches if you’re camping. I saw something similar to this once advertised as a way to keep a portion of a loved one’s ashes with you. I think that was the strangest thing I had seen before this.
It’s clearly the same product and not a very remarkable one at that. It’s nothing but a small bottle you clip to your keys to keep something little like pills in. No big whoop here. It’s amazing someone can sell this kind of thing as a “tesla energy” thing and I would not be surprised if they sold quite a few.

The Tesla Shield, or Hyperdimensional Oscillator, or gift from the god Ramalamadingdong, or whatever Life Technologies wants to call it is actually an aluminum Dog ID made in China, you can get them on Amazon for $9 per six pack.
Life Technology tries to get pretty threatening when you interfere with their scams…it’s laughable, as are the descriptions they contrive to (successfully) sell this stuff.

I’d say it’s not the can, but what is in it. I have not seen a picture of an opened tesla shield yet. But what could be inside? I mean, if only one percent of the claims were legit, the patentholder could sell it for at least a thousand a piece. They don’t. Probably because they know it’s BS. I read some of the ideas behind it. They put all esoteric concepts in a blender, mixed with grounded precious and semi-precious metals and stones and sell it in a $4,00 pet-tag-holder.
So it is a $200 scam. And that isn’t all that funny. Take a look at who the buyers might be. It won’t be the active sportsmen, and it won’t be healthy good looking career women. People buying stuff like this are desperate. People who are dying from cancer. People who suffer from severe mental instabilities. People who have nothing to lose as they’ve already lost faith and hope and good spirit.
Those selling this sh*t take advantage of the most vulnerable and defenseless people. If such an entrepeneur crosses my path, I’ll firmly beat him on the head, tie him, stick ‘m up a tree branch with his arse and leave him for the raven to slowly pick out his flesh, until he dies in the same desperation as his victims. Or at least I’d wish to do so if it were not forbidden by law.

…but the Tesla shield is an effective Raven shield. It must do something because every time I walk into the bedroom, the buzzing vibration sound coming from under my girlfriend’s covers immediatly stops. Hmmm…most curious. Maybe I can get it to open my garage door too. If you use it in your car as an EZ Pass, the state sends you a free photo of your car.

I wonder why some people are so bothered by the unreality or reality of the tesla shield.Somewhere in their consciousness is a wish that the tesla shield is true. When a person wears it,the faith that it generates will perform miracle the same way he believes in the healing water of Lourdes. They are not forced to purchased the product BUT WHY ARE THEY BOTHERED BY IT?

Life Technology have been accused many times of selling a scam product but the number of users who post positive testimonials seems unexpected for a scam product. I contacted Life Technology myself and asked them why their product looked like a dog tag keychain, and they told me:
‘The Tesla Shield looks like the keychain for sale at amazon because when we designed the product we discovered that the keychain dimensions was the perfect fit for the internal componentry. We found a manufacturer in The USA who was able to supply this capsular design but we should point out that the surface anodising process was modified as per the Bergstresser patent.
‘So that you can tell the difference between the genuine article and the counterfeits sold at Ebay; Genuine Tesla Shields are slimmer, longer and lighter in color to similar looking keychains and are laser engraved with http://www.lifetechnology.com‘
Im still on the fence about whether to invest in this product but my wife loves it.

Wow, I just stumbled on an actual Tesla Shield advertisement. I vaguely remembered reading about it on here, so I clicked on it to take a look at their website ( http://www.lifetechnology.com/teslashield.htm ). The product description is hilarious. Apparently it works in part by slowing down Tachyons and it’s effects can be confirmed by taking Kilarian photographs of your aura. I’m amazed that anyone would take it seriously.
It’s currently selling for $129.95
@david prender; that review would be more convincing if he actually gave details of how he tested it. As far as I can tell there is no mention of a placebo control group, no mention of how many people were tested, no mention of any effects other than the two subjects who had an “extreme” reaction to it, and the only “objective” evidence came from taking Kilarian fingerprint/photos from a single subject. Hardly convincing reading.
