This Scandinavian version of whale wars is just typical of mass BS being hysteria and lies of what is really going on. I in no way would want these great creatures to become extinct, but the reality is laws are in place and being enforced to implement a continuation of the whale species. A once a year traditional hunt is not going to render these animals extinct. If some whales survived a megladon filled ocean then they can survive us. As well keeping in mind that Keep in mind that 2/3 of our oceans have not been explored. I just have to say seeing what I have seen in this show … Seeing Paul Watson rap his own prop stopping ropes around ships to disable them and then claim he was attacked well … what more can you say then he is a liar film that he made showed him putting Humans at risk and lie about what he was doing after being told by authorities to leave the fisherman alone … There is no excuse for this total misrepresentation of what they are doing. Breaking the laws that were set in place to protect the animals themselves … People like him give animal rights people and conservation a bad name.

Most people don’t get enough Omega-3, something you get a lot of in whale-meat.
(And in seal-oil, which is potentially the best source)

Whale doesn’t really compare to other sea-food, as it’s a mammal.
It’s more like beef.
It’s just trickier to cook right.

I responded quickly because I know what I am I talking about, having been involved in whaling discussions for well over 5 years. But you claim to have been home sick, on drugs and with no prior knowledge.

Okay, okay. This is just the info I could come up with as I was looking for pros and cons. “It isn’t expensive as food” seems like an odd statement for someone who seems to be so knowledgeable on the subject.
