New scroller thingy

As you can see the comment scroller is back, but this time it’s a new script, so hopefully it will not slow down the page like it was before.   For me it eliminates the previous problem with CPU usage.   I’m not sure I like the look as much.  The bullets are a bit unnecessary and take up space and I’d like the text to be bold.   I’ll try to get that fixed in the next day or so, but first I want to hear if anyone has any similar problems with this one.  If all is well then I’ll see about tweaking and refining it.

Worse than ever now. Keep getting script timeouts and hanging.

Same as before (it was a little better yesterday). Waiting/Hanging for up to 30 Seconds per item on the main page.

It is better but it still takes a lot of CPU time. Personally, I don’t like things that move on my screen. Why not just make a fixed display of recent comments?

Yeah I thought of that but it takes up a lot of space and just dominates the sidebar.

No problems here. Hardly any waiting time (1-2 secs). Looks good to me.
