I've already heard of how anti-vaccine nonsense ha set back the fight to eradicate polio from rural China, India and Africa. This idiocy seems to occasionally be accepted by local officials or some others who are in a position to deny it to their people. Remember what has happened in Africa where famine has occurred and North American food supplies were sent except they could not be assured to not contain any generically engineered crops (because we've been eating them for more than a decade and it's in our supply). Some European activists managed to convince the local leaders to turn down the food because it was dangerous/poison/unhealthy or some other ridiculous claim. These foundations are working hard to do good by wiping out disease from the third world. There are people trying to stop this from being successful. Its a crime against humanity.
