Well, I don't think it is quack. I had a bad cough for 5 months and modern antibiotics would not clear it. I then took colloidal silver and was find in 2 weeks. Go figure!

Well, eight years ago, I ingested colloidal silver more than my body could get rid of and I unhappily turned gray on my face because of it. Some people noticed it and some people didn't. Anyway, here I am knowing I have what they call Argyria. Colloidal silver has helped a lot of people keep their bacteria and virus' at bay, but is it worth the side effects of turning a different color? My bedridden mother was able to heal her bedsore with colloidal silver when absolutely nothing else seemed to work though she wasn't ingesting it, just applying it.

I've read that laser can really help minimize the gray or blue colored skin caused by Argyria on some individuals. I searched and found a doctor experienced in using the right kind of laser, thank goodness he was willing to help me. This doctor also removes tattoos which is kind of what Argyria is, a tattooing of the skin from ingesting too much colloidal silver. I found Dr. Steven Popkow MD in Los Angeles, California. He is a very gentle and understanding doctor which is so important when it comes to such a sensitive issue. For those seeking help also, his business address is: Skin Laser Center, 12027 Venice Blvd., Suite B, Los Angeles, California 90066 The phone number is: (310) 915-8060

I've had 2 treatments so far and yes it is quite painful, but so worth it. I've got my original color back before I had Argyria and I am completely thrilled. With additional laser treatments, Dr. Popkow can treat the rest of the spots that get missed here and there. I feel what Dr. Popkow charges is very reasonable. The cost is around $200 hundred a treatment.

So, for the people on the west side of the United States, there is a doctor who helps with the discoloration of Argyria and for those who live even further who might want to travel to see Dr. Popkow.

Today, I don't have to walk around worried about who might be wondering why my face is gray because it's not anymore. I think being ashy made me look like I wasn't well even though I felt completely fine. The embarrassment of having someone say something about the gray color of my face felt uncomfortable even though I was completely frank. I'm not a person that likes to hide, so I just went on living, but I feel the relief big time now thanks to Dr. Popkow. He has definitely changed my life for the better. The joy I feel is immeasurable.

I take chlorella everyday to help chelate metals out of the body internally. The silver is not just in the skin so cleansing is very important.

This is my journey and my BIG lesson and I hope that I may be of help somehow to others.

I can't speak for everyone with Argyria as I know some people with Argyria are darker gray or bluer than others, but for me, the laser treatment worked at lighting my skin color to a more natural skin tone. I hope it can help you also though there are no guarantees. I'm completely happy with my results and I feel normal again. I would love to see relief for others as well. I know what you all are going through.

I don't have any questions, DV8 has no questions and I doubt most of the regular readers will have any questions.

Seriously, if you really think you can sell your product here, you're smoking something pretty good, because this is not the kind of venue where you will get much advertising via comments. Rather, you can expect they will be received with a great deal of skepticism and generally scrutinized and jumped on pretty quickly.

No. I have no questions as to the efficacy of the internal consumption "colloidal" silver as a treatment or a prophylactic for any known medical condition. I reject this treatment outright as quackery at best, harmful at worst.

Consequently I have no intention of giving you a platform to advertise your fraudulent product, which is nothing but snake-oil of unverifiable benefit.

Moeller why would I or anyone else beleive anything from a person who can't write with paragraphs.

At any rate as I wrote above topical silver treatments have been around for years, this does not validate any claims for internal use.

Household bleach will kill bacteria of all sorts in vitro testing, that does not serve as any indication that there would be any benefit to drinking it.

As for your assertions about the amount that would be have to be spilled to create a hazard, so what? That doesn't speak to the medical effectiveness of your product.

Response from Keith Moeller managing director for American Biotech Labs

"The Horowitz Paper

The Horowitz paper actually made me laugh out loud, it cheered up my day. The fact that someone would think that we were important enough to write a conspiracy theory about ABL is hart warming and means that our hard work may be paying off. The statements he made were poorly researched at best. For anyone that would like to check the facts our new improved and easier to use website will be up in the next few weeks as we change all the information over to the new format. The picture he talks about in his paper is right out of the world renowned material scientist, Rustum Roy's (et. al) peer reviewed and published, material science report. Could someone actually think that the number one ranked material science lab in the world at Penn State University (and three other universities that worked on the paper), would doctor up a picture, for a small no name company? How unfortunate and short sited! I have only had one call on the paper and that was from a client of mine. Horowitz sells a mediocre product and has sour grapes because a man would not put him on the radio, because he has no real data on any real test work (on his product) to talk about. The US Patent office does not grant patents unless you prove to their satisfaction, that your item or technology is different than every other product or technology out on the market. The fact that the patent office issued a number of patents to American Biotech Labs (see patent number 7,135,195 on the US patent web site), is direct evidence that the ABL silver product technology is different and again that his argument is without basis. Why in the world would any of the US government guys or a major radio host team up with a very small unimportant (but very hard working) no name silver company out of Utah, to run a big conspiracy, the idea is just idiotic. It took us more than four years and millions of dollars to gain an FDA clearance for wound care, with our silver gel product. We worked very hard to get that clearance, and now can make claims for use on burns, cuts, diabetic ulcers etc. etc., even against bacteria like staph infection bacteria / MRSA. We had to have thousands of independent tests completed on our products to gain EPA approval. The ABL silver product had to be able to kill hundreds of thousands of bacteria (with 100% kill) within 10 minutes on almost every single test. Because our products are so effective we were able to do pass those tests with just 32 ppm of silver product, with no other additives. No other company has ever done that before or since. The product tested so effective we not only received disinfectant status, but we were able to achieve hospital disinfectant status. It again took us years to complete all the testing and tens of thousands of dollars to get the EPA approvals. At the same time our safety studies helped us gain a toxicity spill rating of more than 12 million gallons (meaning that we would have to spill more than 12 million gallons of product at one time, in one place, for the product to be deemed a hazard to the environment, an amount so large that it is an impossible event). ABL has been a member of SOMA for years (Special Operations Medical Association). We as members have donated thousands of bottles of product directly to our military medics to help protect them and keep them safe out in the field. We have never made money on the association but feel that if we can help save some of our solders lives or help them keep healthy we will gladly continue to do it. We are proud of the fact that we have an association with some of the people in SOMA, they are some of the bravest, most trained, and most selfless men and women we have ever met. We are just a small company, but we are right now working to donate tens of thousands of dollars of our wound care product to the military to hopefully help save more of the men and women willing to work and die for our country. We, have donated product to doctors in Africa, Katrina, South America, Central America, and Haiti, we do not mention this to brag nor wish to make ourselves look good (we have never announced these things), but just mention them to let people know that we work hard and try to do good things, because we believe it all comes back to us in the end. To serve the public, we have also spent millions of dollars and have created one of the largest libraries in the world of information on the antimicrobial action, safety of, and health effects of silver, having amassed more than 200 information reports and test series on our silver products from more than 60 different institutions. Having that great wealth of information is why some radio shows call and ask us questions about the products and the ABL SilverSol technology. That is probably why a radio show host called us instead of Horowitz, and that seemed to make him angry and vindictive. The fact that only one person has called me to tell me about the paper, out of the hundreds of thousands of clients that buy ABL products, means that most people know that this is just a case of sour grapes from someone who people recognize has gone off the deep end."
This is a problem of the past! "his despite the fact that colloidal silver products have never been shown to have any real benefit and they do carry a very real risk." My favorite check out www.supernaturalsilver.com and how they can cure malaria in 3-4 which is also in the Patent 7135195

http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO1&Sect2=HITOFF&d=PALL&p=1&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsrchnum.htm&r=1&f=G&l=50&s1=7,135,195.PN.&OS=PN/7,135,195&RS=PN/7,135,195

CDC also listed Silver Sol as able to kill the flu virus! Also did we mention that the Surgeon General of the Airforce said quote of section 14 of the 2005 congressional testimony "That it will kill anthrax, sars, and the bubonic plaque and that the US government should put it in"

Doesn't appear like you have your facts straight!
And you forgot to add...IN VITRO.....Way fuckin' important, those words.

This is a problem of the past! “his despite the fact that colloidal silver products have never been shown to have any real benefit and they do carry a very real risk.” My favorite check out http://www.supernaturalsilver.com and how they can cure malaria in 3-4 which is also in the Patent 7135195

http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO1&Sect2=HITOFF&d=PALL&p=1&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsrchnum.htm&r=1&f=G&l=50&s1=7,135,195.PN.&OS=PN/7,135,195&RS=PN/7,135,195

CDC also listed Silver Sol as able to kill the flu virus! Also did we mention that the Surgeon General of the Airforce said quote of section 14 of the 2005 congressional testimony “That it will kill anthrax, sars, and the bubonic plaque and that the US government should put it in”

Doesn’t appear like you have your facts straight!

And you forgot to add…IN VITRO…..Way ****in’ important, those words.

"The medical establishment is driven largely by patentable and profitable ventures. Drug companies spend millions to make billions. The ideal drug for a medical company is one with a large market, like Prozac or Viagra, that is complex enough it can be patented without being copied easily by competitors. Although silver has a large potential market, it is widely available and easy to copy, making it undesirable to drug companies.

If it's cheap and works then you can't keep it down. Period! No drug company's agenda is going to change that.

Example: Lithium salts, like lithium carbonate, lithium citrate and lithium sulfate. These are very very cheap, dirt cheap compounds. You could get them in bulk from any general purpose chemical supplier for pennies a gram. Yet, they are still, after decades, the gold standard in the treatment of bipolar disorders and mood stabilization.

For extreme acute pain management, the best drug of choice is still good old fashioned morphine, despite being out of patent for more than a century and generally pretty damn cheap.

The world's most common blood thinner is a dirt cheap synthetic compound out of patent for decades and derived from the bark of the willow tree. It's called aspirin.
.

Your logic fails.

Independent studies done in Justab Clinic, Ghana , Africa. Prove is Cures Malaria..

Children came in with Malaria received nothing but Silver Sol technology a few days later had no Malaria parasite in their blood.

We call that Cured.

No, you don't get to cite "studies" without giving the actual study. Don't tell me that there's "studies" but tell me the exact study - the journal it's in, the volume number and ideally a link to it. I won't argue with second hand accounts of some "studies" which are not cited.
