Elemental Videos

Videos for all the elements are avaliable at www.periodicvideos.com.   Some are a lot of fun, but some are less so.   In general, I found the ones on short-lived radioactive elements to be pretty disappointing, but I guess that’s to be expected because they don’t have samples of those to play with so they just talk about them.   Here’s a little teaser:

    Watching someone play with chemical elements just to demonstrate unique properties and show unusual physical states and reactions is, at least for some of us, a lot like porn only so many times better!

    Good find! Good videos. I like the guy with the wacky hair – I think it should be a requirement that all science professors have wacky hair in the spirit of the greats like einstein!

    My chem teacher had whacked out, unkempt hair too. I think it has something to do with being so involved in other things, they just plain ignore the real world things. :}
    Yes, these videos are geek whacking material.
